AN ORDER TO APPROVE THREE FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BONDS AND THE AMOUNTS THEREOF FOR COLONEL JOHN E. AUBREY IN HIS CAPACITY AS SHERIFF OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY.

WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 70.020, the Sheriff is required to execute a bond for the faithful performance of the general duties of that office;
WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government ("Council") has determined that a $10,000 Faithful Performance Bond is sufficient to insure the faithful performance of John E. Aubrey in his capacity as Jefferson County Sheriff;
WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 134.230(1)(a), the Sheriff is required to execute a bond for the minimum sum of $10,000 for the faithful performance of his duties to collect the county levy including the urban services district taxes;
WHEREAS, the Council has determined such bond should be in the amount of $10,000 for John E. Aubrey, Sheriff of Jefferson County, Kentucky, to perform the aforesaid duties;
WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 134.230(1)(b), the governing body may require the Sheriff to enter into an additional bond for the faithful performance of his duties to collect the county levy including the urban services district taxes; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined such bond should be in the amount of $1,000,000 for John E. Aubrey, Sheriff of Jefferson County, Kentucky, to perform the aforesaid duties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT ("COUNCIL") AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: The Council approves the three aforesaid bonds in the stated amounts for Jefferson County Sheriff John E. Aubrey and directs that the bonds shall be filed with the Jefferson County Court Clerk and the Kentucky Department of Revenue.
