TITLE
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT, KY AND THE MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN JEFFERSON COUNTY HAVING FRANCHISE AUTHORITY.

WHEREAS, Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government and the municipalities within Jefferson County having franchise authority desire to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement pursuant to the Kentucky Interlocal Cooperation Act, KRS 65.210 et seq. (the Act), established a means to provide uniform franchise agreements for communications service providers with the municipalities within Jefferson County, Kentucky;
WHEREAS, the Act requires interlocal cooperation agreements entered into by municipalities receive approval of their respective legislative bodies.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Council hereby approves the attached interlocal cooperation agreement by and between the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government and the municipalities listed in Exhibit A attached hereto.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
