TITLE
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES, APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT TO THE NONCOMPETITIVELY NEGOTIATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE LOUISVILLE ZOO CONCERNING A MENTOR/INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE ZOO’S BOMA (AFRICAN PETTING ZOO) AND AUSTRALIAN WALKABOUT EXHIBITS TO INTERPRET ANIMAL HISTORY, HABITAT PRESERVATION AND AFRICAN CULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC - (KENTUCKY COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM/UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM FOR JEFFERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE - $100,000.00 FOR A NEW NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $200,000.00).

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/ JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following appropriation for the listed contract is hereby approved:
ZOO
$100,000.00 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $200,000.00 for an amendment to the noncompetitively negotiated Professional Service Contract with Kentucky Community and Technical College System/University of Kentucky Community College System for Jefferson Community College for a mentor/internship program, for the Louisville Zoological Gardens’ Boma (African Petting Zoo) and Australian Walkabout to interpret animal natural history, habitat preservation and African Culture for the public from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
