AN ORDER TO APPROVE A FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BOND AND THE AMOUNT THEREOF FOR COLONEL JOHN E. AUBREY IN HIS CAPACITY AS SHERIFF OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY.

WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 70.020, the Sheriff is required to execute a bond for the faithful performance of the general duties of that office; and
WHEREAS, by Order 008, Series 2019, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (“Council”) approved three such bonds for the specific duties of that office; and
WHEREAS, Sheriff Revenue Bond 82C231412, in the amount of $10,000 which was Attachment 3 to that Order, provided for a term of coverage of two years commencing January 1, 2019 and ending January 2, 2023; and
WHEREAS, as described in Attachment A hereto, the Kentucky Association of Counties Insurance Agency, Inc. has advised that Sheriff Revenue Bond 82C231412 must be replaced at no cost with a bond whose term ends January 2, 2022, to comply with the requirements set forth in KRS 134.230 that bonds be issued on an annual basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Council approves the replacement of Sheriff Revenue Bond 82C231412.
SECTION II: This Order shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
