From: rtvails@twc.com Sent: Friday, May 29, 2015 12:58 PM To: Davis, Brian Subject: 15MINORPLAT1046 Dear Mr. Brian Davis, As residents of Altawood Court we are pleased to offer our opinions to the proposed waivers and modifications that the builder has requested for the property on Altawood Court. The case number is 15MINORPLAT1046. Would you please add our comments to the case file. Apparently, the builder’s plan was approved with the stipulation that construction equipment are not to use Altawood Court. Now the builder has requested a modification to allow heavy and large construction equipment access to Altawood. The possibility of having many large construction trucks or large equipment in addition to many construction workers driving down our narrow street will result in safety issues in addition to increased noise, road blockage, possible road and yard damage, inconvenience, as well as annoyance and probable litter. Several months ago, large equipment trucks associated with this project damaged the two stone columns at the entrance to Altawood. However, to their credit, the columns were promptly and expertly repaired. However, if any damage should occur in the future from this housing project will we have the same results, and really, should we have to endure any damage? This property connects through to Rollington Road with the proposal for two houses with driveways facing Rollington. Thus, it seems to assuage the neighbors it would be prudent to require all of the many construction vehicles that will be associated with this project to use Rollington to enter the building site because it is wider and mostly does not traverse through a neighborhood. This builder must be kept accountable to the approved conditions of his permit. Really, one would think that the builder would go to great lengths to placate the neighbors, but unfortunately this modification request demonstrates how he wants to treat his neighbors. Respectfully submitted, Robert and Sally Vail 3920 Altawood Court
