- The budget for carts for Solid Waste Management Services last year was  
$450,000, but $553,000 was spent  
- Questions and concerns about the policy for pick-ups  
- Question and concerns about the challenges when calling for the pick-ups  
- Policy violations will be handled by Code Enforcement department  
- Education will be provided to citizens so they can adapt to the policy  
- Questions about the graphics and information that should be shared with the  
public  
- Metro Call will assist Solid Waste Management Services with the calls  
- Questions about getting established with the routing software  
- Appointments will start on March 6, 2023  
- Question about whether Metro Government schedules pick-ups for scrap  
metal  
- Revenue is generated by converting scrap metal

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO  
GOVERNMENT CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER 119 REGARDING THE  
REGISTRATION OF RENTAL HOUSING TO INCLUDE AND ASSIGN THE DIRECTOR OF  
LOUISVILLE METRO CODES AND REGULATIONS, OR DESIGNEE, FURTHER  
ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT DUTIES REGARDING THE REGISTRY OF  
RENTAL HOUSING UNITS.

- The Rental Registry does not allow for Council Members to log into it  
- Questions and concerns about the availability of more data  
- Questions and concerns about the registration process being complicated  
- The short-term rental process now includes random inspections  
- The Code Enforcement unit will issue citations to those violating the policy  
- Question about whether the transparency provisions would increase the  
compliance  
Technical difficulties at 4:37 p.m.  
- Questions about the possibility of coordinating with the rental rehab program  
so landlords can update their properties  
- Tenants are required to be inspected under this Ordinance  
- Question regarding whether the Louisville Apartment Association has been  
contacted  
- Council Member Purvis requested to be added as a co-sponsor  
- Question about whether a landlord with multiple homes would have to  
register each one separately  
- Question about whether each registrant has to pay only $100 regardless of  
the number of homes they own  
- Question about the difference between a rental housing unit and a multi-unit  
rental housing facility  
A motion was made by Committee Member Hollander, seconded by  
Committee Member Dorsey, that this Ordinance be tabled.  
The motion carried without objection.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES  
SECTION 50.57 TO DEFINE CONDOMINIUMS IN THE COMPREHENSIVE STORM  
WATER DRAINAGE AUTHORITY.
