AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF  
ORDINANCES REGARDING USE OF METRO OWNED PARKS.

- Questions and concerns about not charging fees to use the parks  
- In the absence of fees, there are questions and concerns about how to offset  
the budget  
- Questions and concerns about what is considered official Metro Government  
events  
- Concerns about how to evaluate the impact on the budget and the agencies  
in the absence of fees  
- Question and concerns about whether the benefits would benefit only the  
district and not the entire community  
- Question about whether all sponsorships should be managed  
- Questions about the payment of security for large events  
- Agency receipts are used to determine agency budgets  
- Question about whether there is a charge for labor  
- Concerns about overtime being charging for after-hours employees  
- Question about whether Neighborhood Development Funds can be used for  
overtime and security  
- Question about what Metro Parks returns to the general funds  
A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member  
Holton Stewart, that this Ordinance be tabled.  
The motion to table carried by a voice vote.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 42 OF THE LOUISVILLE  
METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES ("LMCO") RELATING TO THE REQUEST FOR  
PROPOSAL ("RFP") PROCESS FOR GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT AND TO THE  
PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES NECESSARY TO CLOSE, REPURPOSE, LEASE, OR  
SELL A METRO-OWNED GOLF COURSE.

Peden, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.  
Chair Fowler read the amendments to the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinance  
into the record.

- A contract may be terminated early if both parties agree, or there are other  
termination provisions that may apply  
- The contracts are for four years and can be extended for an additional year  
- There will be a Request for Proposal for golf course management  
The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the  
Ordinance was sent to the Consent Calendar.
