A motion was made by Committee Member Triplett, seconded by Committee  
Member Dorsey, that this Resolution be recommended for approval.

The following was discussed:  
- The United States Post Office issued its first stamp in 1847 -- there have been  
4,000 stamps that have been issued to date and over 800 people that have  
been featured on these stamps  
- This year the US Conference of Mayor's passed a Resolution embracing  
Louisville's native Muhammad Ali urging and that he be featured on a stamp  
titled "Give the Champ a Stamp"  
- It was requested that Committee Member Triplett and Committee Member  
Benson be added as co-sponsors to this Resolution  
- Memories of Muhammad Ali were shared  
The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to Old  
Business.  
Adjournment  
Without objection, Chair Shanklin adjourned the meeting at 1:40 p.m.

Council at the Metro Council meeting on August 11, 2022.
