A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT UP TO $13,470,000 OF FUNDING THROUGH THE H.R. 6938, THE COMMERCE, JUSTICE, SCIENCE; ENERGY AND WATER DEVELOPMENT; AND INTERIOR AND ENVIRONEMENT APPROPRIATIONS ACT, H.R.7148, THE CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2026, AND H.R. 4366, THE CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2024, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING LOUISVILLE METRO GOVERNMENT TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE DEEMED NECESSARY BY H.R. 6938, H.R.7148, H.R. 4366 TO CARRY OUT VARIOUS PROJECTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACT AS THE AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENT FOR THESE PROJECTS.

WHEREAS, the Louisville Metro Government desire to promote and carry out community development efforts on behalf of the residents of the City by supporting the H.R.6938 Projects; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the following projects: The Belvedere, Vacant to Vibrant Program, Young Adult Shelter and Transitional Housing, St. Mary’s Church, Louisville Loop/Dodge Gap, Cooper Chapel Road; Russell: A Place of Promise 30th and Madison Street Project; Louisville Metro Justice and Behavioral Health Project; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Mayor’s Office, Department of Economic Development, Office of Housing and Community Development, and the Department of Public Works & Assets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept up to $13,470,000 of funding through the H.R. 6938, the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026, H.R.7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, and H.R. 4366, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, authorizing and directing Louisville Metro Government to execute any documents which are deemed necessary by the aforementioned bills to carry out various projects, and authorizing the Mayor to act as the authorized correspondent for these projects.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
