FOR PROGRAMMING EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE “GIVE-A-JAM” AND HOMELESS STAND DOWN EVENTS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESS EDUCATION AND YOUTH PROGRAMS AND PROGRAMMING EXPENSES FOR THOSE PROGRAMS VETERANS AND VETERANS PROGRAMMING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $6,000 $8,750 $20,000 is hereby appropriated from the Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $6,000 $2,750 from District 24; $1,500 from District 13; $1,250 from District 9; $1,000 each from Districts 4, 7, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23; $750 from District 12; $500 each from Districts 2, 3, 6, 19, 21, 25, 26; $250 from District 5; through the Office of Management and Budget, to the Coalition for the Homeless, Inc. for programming expenses associated with the “Give-A-Jam” and the Homeless Stand Down events to raise funds for homeless education and youth programs and programming expenses for those programs veterans and veterans programming.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
