AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,000 $10,000 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $1,300 FROM DISTRICT 3; $1,000 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 6, 19, AND 22; $500 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 4, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, AND 25; $450 FROM DISTRICT 7; AND $250 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 1, 13, 15, 17, AND 20; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA MID-STATES, INC. FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ITS 2026 H.E.R.O. RUN TO BE HELD MAY 30, 2026 (AS AMENDED).

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $1,000 $10,000 from Neighborhood Development Funds: $1,300 from District 3; $1,000 each from Districts 6, 19, and 22; $500 each from Districts 4, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, and 25; $450 from District 7; and $250 each from Districts 1, 13, 15, 17, and 20; through the Office of Management and Budget, to Volunteers of America Mid-States, Inc. for costs associated with its 2026 H.E.R.O. Run to be held May 30, 2026.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
