TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 25 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO THE LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT, 3rd DIVISION, TO FUND OVERTIME EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH CRIME REDUCTION, CRIME PREVENTION, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH.

WHEREAS, providing the 3rd Division of the Louisville Metro Police Department with the necessary resources and funding ensures the public safety concerns of the community are addressed promptly; and
WHEREAS, neighborhood patrols help deter crime and provide security and peace of mind to citizens.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The amount of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from District 25 Neighborhood Development Funds to the Louisville Metro Police Department, 3rd Division, to fund overtime expenses associated with crime reduction, crime prevention, and community outreach.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
