TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $500,000 FOR THE HISTORY OF EQUAL RIGHTS (HER) GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, FOR THE STABILIZATION AND REHABILITATION OF THE BOURGARD COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND ART PROJECT.

WHEREAS, The History of Equal Right Grant provides funding for preservation projects of historic sites to includes historic districts, buildings, sites, structures, and objects. The properties located must be listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places or designated a National Historic Landmark, whose significance is associated with History of Equal Rights; and
WHEREAS, Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement with U.S. Department of the Interior.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $500,000 for the History of Equal Rights (HER) funding through the U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service for the stabilization and rehabilitation of the Bourgard College of Music and Art Project.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
