AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $4,000 IN NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $4,000 FROM DISTRICT 6; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO BRIDGE KIDS INTERNATIONAL, INC. FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE AFRICAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AUGUST 21-22, 2026.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $4,000 is hereby appropriated in Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $4,000 from District 6; to Bridge Kids International, Inc. for costs associated with The African Heritage Festival to be held August 21-22, 2026.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
