TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $149,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO BE USED BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SIX ALERT SIRENS.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Emergency Management Agency.
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
 
SECTION I:  The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $149,000 from the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.  Funds will be used by the Emergency Management Agency for the purchase and installation of six alert sirens.
 
SECTION II:  This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
