FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE "STAND DOWN FOR HOMELESS VETERANS/PROJECT" FOR ITEMS SUCH AS CLOTHING, BLANKETS, BACKPACKS, ID CARDS, MEALS AND CARE PACKAGES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: The sum of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from the Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $5,000 from District 24; $1,000 each from Districts 9, 16; $500 each from Districts 13, 4, 10, 12, 23; $250 each from Districts 25, 17; through the Office of Management and Budget, to the Coalition for the Homeless, Inc. for expenses associated with the "Stand Down for Homeless Veterans/Project" for items such as clothing, blankets, backpacks, ID cards, meals and care packages.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council's Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
