AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT CODE OF ORDINANCES ("LMCO") SECTION 42.41 TO SET GREEN FEES AT LOUISVILLE METRO GOLF COURSES.

WHEREAS, Metro Council conducted a thorough review of Louisville Metro's golf courses in 2020 and enacted supporting legislation to establish golf fees and management practices; and
WHEREAS, this update to LMCO 42.41 enhances and supports Louisville Metro's golf courses and their already established practices and ensures that LMCO 42.41 and those practices are in alignment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Section 42.41 of LMCO Chapter 42 is amended in relevant part as follows:
? 42.41 BOOKING AND GREEN FEES.
(A) An online booking fee of $5.00 shall be paid by golfers seeking to reserve a tee time. The $5.00 fee will be refunded to those golfers who are present to golf at their reserved tee time.
(B)(A) All golfers must pay the established green fee, start in the order designated by the duly-appointed starter at the clubhouse, and have the green fee receipt in his or her possession at all times while playing on the course. The golf pro or his or her designee shall have the authority to restrict usage of all golf practice facilities to those having paid for a green fee for that day, if overcrowding occurs. The golf pro shall also have the authority to establish policies and procedures to address missed tee times.
(C)(B) Baseline Ggreen fees shall be established by the Director of Parks at the rates set forth herein, effective January 1, 2020. The Director shall publish and maintain an annual greens fee rate sheet on the Louisville Parks and Recreation webpage at the rates set forth herein, effective January 1, 2020.
