A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $29,400 FROM THE KENTUCKY BICYCLE AND BIKEWAY COMMISSION UNDER THE PAULA NYE MEMORIAL GRANT PROGRAM FOR THREE BICYCLE SAFETY PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Department of Public Works & Assets.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $29,400 from the Kentucky Bicycle and Bikeway Commission under the Paula Nye Memorial Grant program. Funds will be used by the Department of Public Works & Assets for the Earn-A-Bike Education Program; Summer Bike/Walk Sense & Bike Sense Cops for Kids Safety Program; and the Travel with Care Program.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
