TITLE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM DISTRICT 3 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH DEVELOP LOUISVILLE/LOUISVILLE FORWARD, TO THE OFFICE OF HOUSING TO ASSIST LOW INCOME HOMEOWNERS WITH EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND ANTI-FORECLOSURE ASSISTANCE, AND RENTERS WITH ANTI-EVICTION ASSISTANCE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE “COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $30,000 is hereby appropriated from District 3 Neighborhood Development Funds, through Develop Louisville/Louisville Forward, to the Office of Housing to assist at the 100% AMI level or below, owner-occupant homeowners with emergency repairs and anti-foreclosure assistance and renters with anti-eviction assistance, once all other funding sources are exhausted. Funds may also be used to assist any residents with any emergency or temporary shelter needs,
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
