A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $18,004 FROM THE FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION (“FSPSF”) TO BE ADMINISTERED BY EMERGENCY SERVICES’ EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.

WHEREAS, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation (FSPSF) has selected Louisville Metro Government to receive a grant intended to provide seven Ferno Track Stair Chairs for use by Emergency Services’ Emergency Medical Services (EMS) field staff more safely and efficiently transport patients while at the scene. FSPSF will provide a grant of $18,004 for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the FSPSF and Metro Government will agree on a scope of work for the use of these funds, which must be expended for the agreed-upon equipment purchase; and
WHEREAS, Metro Government wishes to accept this money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is authorized to accept an $18,004 grant from the FSPSF to expand and improve its options for on-scene patient transport.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
