A RESOLUTION NOMINATING THE PORTION OF CHAMBERLAIN LANE WHICH RUNS FROM I-71 TO MINT SPRING BRANCH ROAD TO BE DESIGNATED AS A SCENIC CORRIDOR AND REQUESTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO REVIEW SUCH NOMINATION.

                     WHEREAS, Section 10.3.3.A of the Land Development Code authorizes the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (“Council”) to nominate a street within its jurisdiction for designation as a scenic corridor by passage of a resolution; and

WHEREAS, the Council finds that such a nomination is warranted for the portion of Chamberlain Lane which runs from I-71 to Mint Spring Branch Road and is a Metro County through road.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:

 

                     SECTION I:                     The Council hereby directs the Louisville Metro Planning Commission to review the nomination of the portion of Chamberlain Lane which runs from I-71 to Mint Spring Branch Road for designation as a scenic corridor and, after holding a public hearing on the nomination, to make a recommendation to Council regarding such designation.

                     SECTION II:                     This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
