AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $23,000 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $15,500 FROM DISTRICT 18; $7,500 FROM DISTRICT 11; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO THE JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. TO PURCHASE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR ALEX R. KENNEDY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $23,000 is hereby appropriated from Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $15,500 from District 18; $7,500 from District 11; through the Office of Management and Budget, to the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation, Inc. to purchase playground equipment for Alex R. Kennedy Elementary School and the surrounding community.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
