AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $12,700 FROM DISTRICT 8 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE CREATION OF A POCKET PARK MASTER PLAN FOR PROPERTIES ON SUTHERLAND DRIVE AND CALDER COURT RECENTLY ACQUIRED AND CLEARED BY MSD AS PART OF A FEMA FLOODPLAIN BUYOUT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $12,700 is hereby appropriated from District 8 Neighborhood Development Funds to Metro Parks Department for the creation of a pocket park master plan for properties on Sutherland Drive and Calder Court recently acquired and cleared by MSD as part of a FEMA floodplain buyout.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
