AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000 FROM DISTRICT 4 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO THE OFFICE OF RESILIENCE AND COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR THE WINTER SHELTER PROGRAM PROVIDING INDOOR OPTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TEMPORARY SHELTER.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $60,000 is hereby appropriated from District 4 Neighborhood Development Funds to the Office of Resilience and Community Services for the Winter Shelter Program providing indoor options for individuals seeking temporary shelter.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
