A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $112,200 FROM THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY (“KOHS”) TO BE ADMINISTERED BY EMERGENCY SERVICES’ EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS) has selected Louisville Metro Government to receive a grant intended to provide video display and projection equipment for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to upgrade current communications capabilities. KOHS will provide a grant of $112,200 for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the KOHS and Metro Government will agree on a scope of work for the use of these funds, which must be expended for the agreed-upon equipment purchase and installation; and
WHEREAS, Metro Government wishes to accept this money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“THE COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is authorized to accept an $112,200 grant from the KOHS to improve its current communications capabilities in the EOC.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
