A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $5,000 OF FUNDING FROM THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR CLEAN-UP OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FOREST TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a Notice of Grant Award has been received from Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $5,000 of funding from the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District for clean-up of property located in Jefferson Memorial Forest, to be administered by the Parks Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
