A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF SURPLUS FURNITURE, VALUED AT $70,000, FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION, LOUISVILLE DIVISION OFFICE, FOR FUTURE USE BY THE LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FACILITIES AND FLEET MANAGEMENT.

WHEREAS, the donation has been approved by the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, Louisville Division; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Department of Facilities and Fleet Management.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a donation of surplus furniture, valued at $70,000, from the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, Louisville Division Office, for future use by the Louisville Metro Police Department to be administered by the Department of Facilities and Fleet Management.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
