AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $28,500 FROM NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: $10,000 EACH FROM DISTRICTS 22 AND 24; $5,000 FROM DISTRICT 20; AND $3,500 FROM DISTRICT 10; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO THE FERN CREEK FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PURCHASE OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS RESPONSE EQUIPMENT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (“COUNCIL”) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $28,500 is hereby appropriated from Neighborhood Development Funds in the following manner: $10,000 each from Districts 22 and 24; $5,000 from District 20; and $3,500 from District 10; through the Office of Management and Budget, to the Fern Creek Fire Protection District for costs associated with the purchase of hazardous materials response equipment.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
