A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT AWARD OF $4,370 FROM THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS TO BE USED BY METRO ANIMAL SERVICES TO SUPPORT A COMMUNITY CAT SPAY/NEUTER INITIATIVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE KENTUCKY HUMANE SOCIETY.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through Metro Animal Services.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $4,370 from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Funds will support a Community Cat Spay/Neuter Initiative in conjunction with the Kentucky Humane Society.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
