A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $38,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY FIRE COMMISSION THROUGH THE TRAINING FACILITY GRANT PROGRAM TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE LOUISVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, the Training Facility Grant program allows for the purchase of new fire training equipment for the Fire Academy; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this opportunity through the Louisville Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $38,000 from the Kentucky Fire Commission through the Training Facility Grant Program to be administered by the Louisville Fire Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
