AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $20,000 IN DISTRICT 9 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO DEVELOP LOUISVILLE, OFFICE OF ADVANCED PLANNING, FOR THE CONSULTATION FEE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LEXINGTON ROAD LAND USE STUDY

WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (the “Council”) passed Ordinance No. 63, Series 2017 on April 13, 2017;
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 63, Series 2017 imposes a moratorium on the development of land within a certain area on Lexington Road pending a land use study of this area; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to assist in the costs associated with conducting this land use study;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The amount of $20,000 is hereby appropriated from District 9 Neighborhood Development Funds to Develop Louisville, Office of Advanced Planning, for the consultation fee associated with the Lexington Road land use study.
SECTION II: The Council has determined that the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
