A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $290,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE PLANNING PHASE OF THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TRAFFIC MODEL PROJECT GRANT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Department of Public Works & Assets.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $290,000 from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the planning phase of the Central Business District Traffic Model Project. The project involves development of a travel demand model and evaluation of roadway reconfigurations and safety/capacity improvements of the Louisville urban core.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
