A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $100,000 OF FUNDING FROM EVERYTOWN FOR GUN SAFETY SUPPORT FUND, INC. TO HIRE A GUN VIOLENCE DATA FELLOW DEDICATED TO COLLECTING, ORGANIZING, ANALYZING, AND INTERPRETING DATA RELATED TO GUN VIOLENCE TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE OFFICE FOR SAFE & HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to enter into this agreement through the Office for Safe & Healthy Neighborhoods.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, Inc. to accept funding of $100,000 to hire a gun violence data fellow.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval or otherwise becoming law.
