AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $9,600 FROM DISTRICT 3 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO DARE TO CARE, INC. FOR THE BACKPACK BUDDY PROGRAM AT CANE RUN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $9,600 is hereby appropriated from the District 3 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Dare to Care, Inc. for the Backpack Buddy program at Cane Run Elementary School.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council's Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
