AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT (25%) OF THE TOTAL PROJECT COST, NOT TO EXCEED $20,000, FROM DISTRICT 23 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS; THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO METRO PARKS AND RECREATION TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES TO INSTALL A HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE KAYAK/CANOE LAUNCH ON MCNEELY LAKE AT MCNEELY LAKE PARK (AS AMENDED).

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The amount of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total project cost, not to exceed $20,000, is hereby appropriated from the District 23 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Metro parks and Recreation to work in conjunction with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife resources to install a handicapped accessible kayak/canoe launch on McNeely Lake at McNeely Lake Park.
SECTION II: Metro Parks and Recreation shall not transfer the NDF to Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources until work on the project has started.
SECTION IIIII: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION IIIIV: This grant is subject to the Council’s Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IVV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
