A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES, APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE FOLLOWING NONCOMPETITIVELY NEGOTIATED NEW PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT GEORGIA TECH RESEARCH CORPORATION - ($115,462.00).

WHEREAS, to address the community issue of urban heat island, the Mayor's office wishes to enter a contract with Georgia Tech Research Corporation for $115,462.00 regarding an urban heat island assessment and heat management plan from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Parks Department is hereby authorized to enter into a noncompetitively negotiated new Professional Service Contract with Georgia Tech Research Corporation for $115,462.00 for professional services regarding an urban heat island assessment and heat management plan from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
