A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $19,500 FROM THE PAULA NYE FOUNDATION TO BE USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS FOR THREE PROGRAMS REGARDING BICYCLE SAFETY.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Department of Public Works & Assets.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $19,500 from the Paula Nye Foundation. Funds will be used by the Department of Public Works & Assets for the University of Louisville Earn-A-Bike Education Program; Summer Bike, Walk Sense, and Bike Sense Cops for Kids; and the NACTO Training Project.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
