A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE LOUISVILLE AFFILIATE OF SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE IN THE AMOUNT OF $56,250 TO PROVIDE BREAST CANCER SCREENING THROUGH THE KENTUCKY WOMEN'S CANCER SCREENING PROGRAM TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELLNESS.

WHEREAS, the application for the funding has been reviewed and approved by the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For The Cure; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Department of Public Health & Wellness.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept funding from the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For The Cure in the amount of $56,250 to provide breast cancer screening through the Kentucky Women's Cancer Screening Program to be administered by the Department of Public Health and Wellness.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
