A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE FDA AND THE ASSOCIATION OF FOOD AND DRUG OFFICIALS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,855.95 TO COMPLETE STANDARD 5 FOODBORNE ILLNESS AND FOOD DEFENSE PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE AND TO ATTEND HAZARD ANALYSIS CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS TRAINING.

WHEREAS, the application for the funding has been reviewed and approved by the FDA and Association of Food and Drug Officials; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Department of Public Health & Wellness.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept funding from the FDA and the Association of Food and Drug Officials in the amount of $4,855.95 to complete standard 5 foodborne illness and food defense preparedness and response and to attend hazard analysis critical control points training.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
