AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13,548.62 FROM DISTRICT 11 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO BLACKACRE CONSERVANCY, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF SIGNAGE AND A HOOP HOUSE FOR THE COMMUNITY GARDEN AT BLACKACRE NATURE PRESERVE AND HISTORIC HOMESTEAD.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The sum of $13,548.62 is hereby appropriated from the District 11 Neighborhood Development Funds, through the Office of Management and Budget, to Blackacre Conservancy, Inc. for the purchase, construction and installation of signage and a hoop house for the community garden at Blackacre Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead.
SECTION II: The Council has determined the funds requested in this Ordinance will be expended for a public purpose.
SECTION III: This grant is subject to the Council's Policies and Procedures as adopted and effective at the date of passage of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
