A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $5,000 OF FUNDING FROM LG&E AND KU ENERGY LLC FOR THE PLANTING OF 700 HARDWOOD TREES AT JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FOREST TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a Notice of Grant Award has been received from LG&E and KU Energy LLC; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $5,000 of funding from LG&E and KU Energy LLC for the planting of 700 hardwood trees at Jefferson Memorial Forest, to be administered by the Parks Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
