A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, KENTUCKY HERITAGE LAND CONSERVATION FUND BOARD, IN THE AMOUNT OF APPROXIMATELY $300,000.00 FOR THE ACQUISITION AND MANAGEMENT OF LAND NEAR THE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FOREST KNOWN AS THE BEAUCHAMP AND GREENWELL PROPERTIES.

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board has made funding available under the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through its Metro Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board grant from the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the amount of approximately $300,000.00 for acquisition and management of land known as the Beauchamp and Greenwell properties near the Jefferson Memorial Forest.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
