A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $195,000 OF FUNDING FROM KENTUCKY HERITAGE LAND CONSERVATION FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS ADJACENT TO THE TOM WALLACE RECREATION AREA FOR THE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FOREST TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a Notice of Grant Award has been received from Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $195,000 of funding from Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Funds for the acquisition of parcels adjacent to the Tom Wallace Recreation Area for the Jefferson Memorial Forest, to be administered by the Parks Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
