A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A $15,000.00 DONATION FROM THE BERRY CENTER, INC. FOR THE KENTUCKY FOOD PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government, acting by and through its Department of Economic Development, requested donations from The Berry Center, Inc. to aid in financing the Kentucky Food Project; and
WHEREAS, The Berry Center, Inc. awarded the Metro Government a $15,000.00 donation for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to accept this money.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a $15,000.00 donation from The Berry Center, Inc. to aid in financing the Kentucky Food Project.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
