TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $90,000 OF FUNDING FROM LOUISVILLE AND JEFFERSON COUNTY METROPOLITAN SEWER DISTRICT (MSD) FOR TREE PLANTING PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a Notice of Grant Award has been received from MSD; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $90,000 of funding from MSD for tree planting programs, to be administered by the Parks Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
