TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $50,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO BE USED BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR ALERT SYSTEM SOFTWARE.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Emergency Management Agency.
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
 
SECTION I:  The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $50,000 from the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.  Funds will be used by the Emergency Management Agency for the purchase and installation of alert system software.
 
SECTION II:  This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
