TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL FOR LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, BOURBON, HARRISON, AND NICHOLAS COUNTIES, INC. TO PROVIDE LIFE SKILLS TO AT LEAST 60 YOUTH TRANSITIONING OUT OF FOSTER CARE.

WHEREAS, the Metro Government, acting by and through its Department of Community Services, to partner with Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, provide life skills training through Project LIFE funded through the Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) for at least 60 youth transitioning out of foster care.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept funding through the agreement with Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. funded by DCBS, for executing services contained within the agreement.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
