A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $1,899 OF FUNDING FROM THE KENTUCKY DIVISION OF FORESTRY FOR TRAINING BY THE SOCIETY OF MUNICIPAL ARBORISTS AT THE 2015 MUNICIPAL FORESTRY INSTITUTE TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PARKS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a Notice of Grant Award has been received from Kentucky Division of Forestry; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Government wishes to take advantage of this funding opportunity through the Parks Department.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept $1,899 of funding from the Kentucky Division of Forestry for training by the Society of Municipal Arborists at the 2015 Municipal Forestry Institute, to be administered by the Parks Department.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
