AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE MASTER PLAN

WHEREAS, the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (the "Council") finds the process leading to the development of the Downtown Louisville Master Plan (the "Plan") began in 2013 and continued under the very capable guidance of the Louisville Downtown Partnership to the completion of the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council further finds the Plan sets out a vision and strategic direction for Downtown Louisville as more particularly described in the Plan's Executive Summary attached to this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Council further finds the Plan will greatly enhance the appearance, sustainability and economic vitality of Downtown Louisville.
Now therefore be it ordained by the Legislative Council of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government as follows:
Section I: The Downtown Louisville Master Plan is hereby approved and adopted for Louisville Metro.
Section II: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval.
