A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE $7,500 TO THE STERLING SPRINGS ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION (ASSOCIATION) FOR REMOVAL OF SEDIMENT FROM THE STERLING SPRINGS ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BASIN LOCATED IN THE STERLING SPRINGS ESTATES SUBDIVISION AT LAKE STERLING STREET.

WHEREAS,                      Resolution 064, Series 2016 authorized the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement and receive a stipend through the Department of Public Works and Assets in the amount of $7,500 from the Metropolitan Sewer District for the removal of sediment from the Sterling Springs Estates retention basin in the Sterling Springs Subdivision at Lake Sterling Rd.; and

WHEREAS, the Metro Government now wishes to enter into a Grant Agreement, by and through the Department of Public Works and Assets, with the Association, to turn the $7,500 stipend over to the Association for the same purpose.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT (THE COUNCIL) AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I:  The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement, by and through the Department of Public Works and Assets, to provide $7,500 to Sterling Springs Estates Homeowners Association for the removal of sediment from the Sterling Springs retention basin in the in the Sterling Springs Subdivision at Lake Sterling Rd

SECTION II:  This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and approval.
